Snap announces in a post that My AI is now available to all Snapchat users worldwide.

What is My AI (ChatGPT) on Snapchat for?
The uses of this type of artificial intelligence have no real limit. But according to Snap’s explanation, you can, for example, use it to find gift ideas for a friend, plan a trip, find cooking recipes, or you can ask My AI to generate a poem for you. In addition, Snap has just added new features based on this artificial intelligence.
The accessible version for everyone of this AI is customizable. You can give it a name and a personalized avatar. In addition, you can also challenge My AI directly in discussions with your friends. In addition, Snap also uses this AI to generate suggestions. But like ChatGPT, My AI is not foolproof. And despite the measures taken to prevent this, it can happen that the artificial intelligence makes hallucinations (give false information that seems true). “Although My AI is designed to avoid biased, incorrect, harmful or misleading information, errors may occur”, had also explained Snap in the month of February.
However, the platform says it has made a lot of progress on this. It also ensures that today, My AI is 99.5% compliant with its community rules. One of the tags put in place is to take into account the age of the user. Snapchat also plans to include this AI in its parental control system. A parent will therefore know if their children are using this artificial intelligence and how often.
It remains to be seen whether, like Bing, Snapchat will boost its growth thanks to this integration of OpenAI’s artificial intelligence. In any case, by using this technology instead of developing its own generative AI, Snapchat is one step ahead of its competitors. Facebook, for example, is working on similar AIs.
