sArtificial Intelligence (AI) systems like ChatGPT have been lauded by the public as one of the next big advances in technology, making them especially relevant for looking up information and generating text. However, it should be noted that these AI systems are still not perfect.

This was something praised by the Minister of Digital Affairs of Japan, Taro Kono, who recounted one of his most recent experiences with Open AI’s ChatGPT.

According to the Bloomberg, Kono said that when he was trying to find out more about himself through ChatGPT, the AI ended up confusing him with the current Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Note that Kono lost the 2021 election to Kishida.

“I asked ChatGPT who Taro Kono was and they gave me the wrong answer, so we have to be careful”noted Kono, indicating that the AI responded that Kono was “Japan’s Prime Minister”.
