On Monday evening, a candidate who earns money with humor gambled on “Who wants to be a millionaire?” Ernst Jordan (29) writes for the satirical magazine “Titanic”. In Günther Jauch’s quiz show, the Berliner allowed himself a slippery saying at the expense of the moderator.
Jauch was already laughing when Jordan told him about his tick. He always sets the alarm for odd numbers. The single explained this with an example. “Not a quarter past eight, but seventeen minutes past eight.” A quirk that has accompanied him for many years.
Jordan gambled for the right answer
At 64,000 euros, the single proved its quick-wittedness. The question: “Who constantly has to deal with thin, medium and thick beds in their day-to-day work?” A: confectioner, B: tiler, C: chimney sweep or D: porn actor. Jordan had to admit, “I don’t know.” Because the crowd joker was already gone, he was able to think out loud.
The haphazard guessing fox asked the moderator: “Did you know?” His counterpart jokingly assumed: “Then it’s definitely the porn actor.”

The quizmaster responded to the cheeky tip with a loud laugh while his contestant for the quiz was rewarded with applause from the audience. Jauch perplexed and also a bit impressed: “It was good! That gives a special point. That’s where the ‘Titanic’ school comes through.” But that didn’t get Jordan any closer to finding the right solution.
He only guessed: “The porn actor is of course the joke’s answer.” His telephone joker wasn’t much help either. So the candidate had two wrong answers deleted. “Tileslayer” and “chimney sweep” stopped.
Still unsure, Jordan chose the tiler and fired off his next gag. “If it’s 500 euros, then I’ll apply to ‘Gesucht – Gejagt’. Somehow I have to get that back in,” said the gambler, meaning a quiz show on ARD.
Everyone laughed again, including Jauch. The moderator joked: “Of course it’s a threat that we take so seriously.”
By the way, his counterpart was right about the “tile layer”. Because Jordan gave up on the next question, he ended up taking home 64,000 euros.
