N’Golo Kanté will be missing from Chelsea for some time. As Blues coach Graham Potter confirmed at a press conference, the midfielder will not be available in the new year either. “It will take a while for him. He’ll be out by the end of February, beginning of March.”Potter clarifies.

He later added: “There was an operation, so it takes at least four months.” However, his coach did not want to comment on the Frenchman’s contract situation: “My job is to prepare him to play football.” Kanté’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer. Several top clubs have been traded as interested parties in recent weeks, including FC Barcelona and Paris St. Germain.
