Cher releases the first part of her memoir in November

NEW YORK.- Cher knows that only one person can tell his history. And she herself will tell it in two parts.

Dey Street Books announced on Wednesday that the book Cher: The Memoir, Part One will go on sale on November 19, with the second volume to follow in 2025.

Dey Street, an imprint of HarperCollins, promises a “true story, with intimate detail,” beginning with her “often chaotic” childhood and her famously troubled partnership with Sonny Bono.

“With his characteristic honesty and humor, Cher: The Memoir “traces how this diamond in the rough managed with no plan and little confidence to become the pioneering superstar the world has been unable to ignore for more than half a century,” the publisher’s announcement says.

Cher: The Memoir, Part One follows her extraordinary beginnings through childhood to meeting and marrying Sonny Bono, and reveals the highly complicated relationship that made them world famous, but ultimately tore them apart.

Cher, 78, is the only woman to top the Billboard charts for seven consecutive decades, with hits like Dark Lady, Believe y DJ Play a Christmas Song.

He won an Oscar for his leading role in Moonstruck and has received many more honors, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
