NY.- Patrick Mahomes and the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will host the Detroit Lions on September 7 to raise the curtain on the 2023 NFL season.

And fans will get their first chance to see quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a Jets uniform when New York takes on the Buffalo Bills in a game on Monday night, Sept. 11, according to the first details of the league’s schedule. which were released on Thursday.

The NFL will announce the full schedule Thursday night.

On Wednesday, the league announced that Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars will be the first NFL team to play two games outside the United States in the same season with back-to-back weeks in London this year.

The Jaguars will play on home ground against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium on October 1, and on the road against the Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 8. Jacksonville had planned to play two of its home games in London in 2020, but the pandemic caused those plans to be cancelled.

The NFL also announced the dates for three other international games.

The Tennessee Titans will host the Baltimore Ravens at Tottenham Hotspur on October 15. The Chiefs will host the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany, playing at Eintracht Frankfurt Stadium on November 15. And the New England Patriots will host the Indianapolis Colts on November 12, also in Frankfurt.

The remodeling of the Azteca Stadium, with a view to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Mexico, the United States and Canada, prevented the NFL from scheduling a game in Mexico City in the 2023 season.
