Mayor Andreas Kresser makes good on carnival promises and creates a party atmosphere as “DJ Bürgi”.
Mayor Andreas Kresser was asked by the children of the royal couple to invite the Hörbranzer kids to the disco during carnival 2023 and to provide the right sound as “DJ Bürgi”. On Friday, April 14, 2023, the carnival promise was kept and a large children’s and youth disco was held in the Leiblachtalsaal. Numerous visitors were to be found on the stage, which was transformed into a cool party club with an impressive music and light show. People danced and celebrated to the great sound of DJ Bürgi. Mayor Andreas Kresser ensured the best atmosphere, which was not entirely surprising. Even before he took office, the Hörbranz community leader was a hip DJ and popular mood maker at various events. Also in this carnival DJ Bürgi operated the turntables and provided the party animals with suitable dance hits. For the children’s and youth disco, DJ Bürgi had reinforced with the young Jannik, who had the lighting controls under control throughout the event and set the dance floor in the perfect light. Some interested visitors could also take a look behind the DJ desk and talk shop with DJ Bürgi. During a break, the unicycle gang from the Hörbranz middle school offered their show and received enthusiastic applause for it. In the midst of the many dance fans, accompanied by the Hörbranz robber barons, were the reigning royal couple, Princess Simone and Prince Hubert. Of course, the carnival regents eagerly swung their legs, as did many of the mums and dads, who got the sound in their feet.
At the end of the children’s and youth disco, which passed far too quickly, Mayor Andreas Kresser, aka DJ Bürgi, thanked all visitors for coming. He also thanked the many helpers, the royal couple and their entourage and everyone who worked and helped out. But especially the followers, who created the program with him in a preparatory session. The unanimous tenor of all disco visitors: Cool evening with a cool DJ Bürgi!!
