The Chinese manufacturer Konka should hardly be known to a reader. I myself came into contact with the manufacturer at CES a few times and looked at the brand’s television sets with great interest. In addition to LCDs with mini-LED backlights, this also includes micro-LED models and OLED TVs. The latter are now making the leap to Europe in the form of the Konka 812 Series. Konka did officially confirmed.

A first batch of 3,000 OLED televisions in 55 and 65 inches has already been sent to Europe via the China-Europe Railway Express. But that’s not all: there are also around 20,000 smart LED products and kitchen appliances that will also be launched in Europe. It is strange that Konka works with an OEM partner, but makes a secret of their identity in the press release.

Konka only vaguely points out that the partner in Europe is already the leader in the TV middle class and the entry-level segment and now wants to score points in the premium segment with Konka’s support. Therefore, it is also emphasized that Konka is not about trying to attract customers with aggressive prices. Rather, they want to convince with technical quality. Maybe very exciting for you: Konka generally not only uses Android TV for its televisions, but also LG’s webOS.

In which countries Konka will actually offer its OLED TVs is not yet clear. I suspect that we could hear more about that at CES 2023.
