Chris Christie visits Miami as part of his campaign

The candidate Chris Christie, former governor of New Jersey, visited the Casa Cuba restaurant in South Miami for almost two hours this Friday morning.

He gave a campaign speech, greeted, took pictures with supporters, but above all he answered all kinds of questions from the public. Some came from Democrats and independents.

Christie’s message is that it is time to unify the country and move past the divisive politics that the candidate says are being maintained by other primary candidates.

He pointed out that he knows that the two main candidates live in Florida, Donald Trump and RonDeSantis and that he only asks that they listen to him too. Christie’s campaign visit comes less than a week before the first Republican debate and a day after the disclosure of an alleged memo written by the Ron DeSantis-supporting political action committee, or Super PAC, giving the governor specific advice on the strategy to maintain in the debate.

The memo says DeSantis is to defend Trump in his absence when Chris Christie attacks him. Christie is the only Republican candidate who has been consistently criticizing Trump.

DeSantis’ campaign responded in a statement that the memo is not from the campaign and that they were unaware of its existence until it was disclosed.
