President Alberto Fernández will spend Christmas Eve at the Quinta de Olivos “with the family”, unlike previous years in which he chose to travel to the Atlantic Coast towards the official residence of Chapadmalal.

This was indicated to Noticias Argentinas by official sources, who specified that on this occasion the head of state is not expected to make a Christmas message, an old tradition that had been recovered by Fernández in December 2021.

In this context, they specified that there is no stipulated public activity on the president’s agenda for this Saturday, so it is expected that he will remain at the Olivos Residence prior to the traditional family dinner, together with his wife Fabiola Yáñez, his children and their dog friends, Dylan and Prócer.

Special Christmas with little boy Francisco

For the President, this year will come with a special seasoning, since it will be the first Christmas Eve that he will share with his eight-month-old son, Francisco, and the first lady, Fabiola Yañez.

Alberto Fernández visited a children’s home before Christmas

President Alberto Fernández dressed the Hogar Juan XXIII and the Space for Early Childhood (EPI) Sonrisas, located in the Buenos Aires city of Baradero, prior to the Christmas Eve festivity. The president appeared together with the Minister of Social Development, Victoria Tolosa Paz, and toured the facilities after the remodeling and expansion works.

The local mayor, Esteban Sanzio, witnessed the dialogue between the president and the children and adolescents who live in both institutions. During the exchange, the president highlighted the work of the workers who “put a lot of love to take care of the girls and boys who need it.”

“We are on the eve of a new Christmas and we have to live it in peace, happiness and joy, knowing that we are on the right path for Argentina to take flight, doing what we do with Victoria (Tolosa Paz) and the entire National Government, which is caring for those who need it most,” he said.

During his visit, the Head of State spoke “with children and adolescents who pass through both spaces and learned, with workers, the activities they carry out.”
