The city building simulation Cities Skylines gets a remaster for the current consoles.
Cities Skylines Remastered, as it is called, is scheduled to be released on February 15, 2023 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
What changes in the remaster?
The retail price of this new version is 39.99 euros. Those who already own the game on PS4 or Xbox One will get a free upgrade.
This also applies to remasters of the DLCs, initially up to the Airports expansion. More revised DLCs are to follow in the coming months.
On the current consoles you can therefore build 25 tiles, which is 16 more than currently on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
There’s also a quick select tool, gameplay improvements (precision placements, distance display, and updated snapping options), and a new environment control panel that lets you adjust things like time of day, rain, fog, and environment colors.
You also get a map editor and the developers of Colossal Order promise a “general increase in graphics performance”.
