After six weekend meetings in 2022 with intensive work and discussions, the Climate Council adopted a report with 93 recommendations to politicians. Each recommendation contains a measure at different political levels (EU, constitution, federal, state, community).

Gerhard Fischbacher from Hohenems, member of the Federal Government’s Climate Council, reported on the entire process in the town hall on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, and passed on his assessments and ideas specifically for Hohenems. Above all, he sees potential in the area of ​​mobility and renewable energy.

The city of Hohenems would like to thank Gerhard Fischbacher and all participants of the climate council for the work they have done.

The Climate Council was a demand of the climate referendum, which was signed by almost 400,000 Austrians in 2020 and consists of 84 randomly selected citizens from all nine federal states.
