After right-wing extremist incidents at a school in Burg im Spreewald, the examination and processing of the events has begun. This was announced by the Brandenburg Ministry of Education on Monday. In a letter, teachers anonymously described how they were confronted with right-wing extremism, sexism and homophobia every day at the school. there is Swastikas on furniture, right-wing extremist music in class and anti-democratic slogans in the school corridors. They also experienced a “wall of silence,” the letter said. The teachers complained about the lack of support from school administrations, school authorities and politicians. Intensive talks with all those involved over the past few days had confirmed that there had been incidents with anti-constitutional symbols and statements, the education department said. In discussions, everyone involved in the school showed a clear position on democratic values. “In particular, this means the willingness to deal aggressively with threats and to show a clear stance in right-wing extremist incidents.”

Parents do not want democracy education for their children
