According to the latest rumors, Microsoft is currently preparing to launch two new Surface devices. The first is said to be a new 11-inch Surface Pro, while the second is rumored to be an ARM-based Surface Go 4.

There are even quite a few details that are now being passed around in the rumor mill. That reports that Online magazine Windows Central. Windows Central cites Microsoft’s alleged plans to launch two new Windows tablets this year. The information on this should come from insider circles, directly from the company.

Codename Luxor

According to these reports, the company is planning a new, smaller 11-inch Surface Pro, similar to Apple’s iPad Pro range with its 11- and 13-inch variants. Microsoft plans to add a new, smaller configuration to the Surface Pro family soon. The upcoming 11-inch Surface Pro (codename “Luxor”) is said to be similar to its 13-inch sibling model and, among other things, offer a display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Microsoft’s next budget Surface Go tablet will reportedly mark a notable change in its family of devices. According to the report, the Surface Go “4” (codenamed “Tanta”) will feature a processor based on the Snapdragon 7c chip. It offers improved energy efficiency and battery life. It is also interesting that Windows Central writes that Microsoft’s fourth-generation Surface Go should differ drastically from its predecessor in terms of design and other functions. That includes more tablet-related optimizations, especially in applications like File Explorer.

What the Windows Central report doesn’t say yet, however, is when the new Surface devices will be released.
