Jorelyn Carabalí one of the most outstanding soccer players in the women’s world cup in Australia and New Zealand with the Colombian teamreceived the sad news of the murder of his brother, Paulo Andrés Carabalí in the city of Cali.
The younger brother of the Colombian national team defender was sharing with some friends and his girlfriend in a nightclub when he was murdered. The event occurred at one in the morning on Monday, August 14, 2023.. A man who had already been in the bar re-entered and without saying a word shot Carabalí, killing him.
After hearing the fatal news about her brother Andrés Carabalí, the defender left a strong and short message on her social networks where she showed how difficult it has been for her to assimilate the situation.

The captain of the Colombian team, Catalina Usme, referred to the death of Jorelyn’s brother. She stated that the player found out the news just as they were boarding the plane to Colombia and she specified that the entire group accompanies her partner in her pain.
