Invest 92L could turn into a depression or storm today

The National Hurricane Center in Miami (CNH) predicted this Monday that the intense tropical wave, called Invest 92L and which is currently located in the Atlantic, could become a depression or tropical storm in the next few hours.

The CNH has been monitoring this system for several days and has observed that it has been gradually organizing itself.

According to the most recent 2:00 am bulletin, the Invest 92L has a 90% chance of cyclonic development in the next 7 days, and 90% in the next 48 hours.

“Showers and storms continue to become better organized in association with a broad area of ​​low pressure located several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. Environmental conditions appear conducive for further development, and a tropical depression or a tropical storm to form later today or tonight,” the agency’s report reads.

If it became a tropical storm, it would be called Bret.
