“Mother-in-law favorites” Kai Magnus Sting and Matthias Reuter say goodbye to Comedy in the summer break. Mother’s Day in the Chamber Concert Hall.

In the last edition before the summer break, comedy is once again very popular in the hall: the show series then promises to be an unparalleled Ruhrpott evening with two mother-in-law favourites. Not by chance: After all, the May show rises on Mother’s Day.

Kai Magnus Sting no longer needs to be introduced to any comedy fan in Revier. He has been a cabaret artist for over 20 years – as a soloist or with Henning Venske or as a member of the ensemble in Oberhausen’s Ebertbad in the piece “Pommes”. And no one explains the Ruhr area language and the associated mentality better and wittier than the boy from Duisburg, who was supported by Hanns Dieter Hüsch from the very beginning and has since won prize after prize.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that in addition to stage programs such as “Hömma, knows it” or “Hömma, so isset!” he also writes crime stories and has been able to win over all the cabaret greats from Jochen Malmsheimer and Jochen Busse to Gerburg Jahnke for his radio plays .

Like Kai Magnus Sting, Benjamin Eisenberg’s second guest is also one of the winners of the “Bottroper FrechDAX”, and he also puts the people in the pot to the test: Matthias Reuter. Traditionally, he stops by for the season finale and again has a lot of new songs and lyrics in his luggage. His current solo program has the beautiful title: “Career-free living”. The man from Oberhausen knows that humor is often a question of perspective. And laughing from the bottom up is much warmer than the other way around.

ViB guest at the season finale is the Bottrop singer/songwriter Thomas Gehring

He has never understood why everyone still wants to go to the top all the time. So he stays on the ground and from there looks at the pre-gymnasts, role models and pioneers in the country. With his bizarre jazzy songs on the piano or the country pieces on the guitar, he naturally receives support from the late-night band “The Pott Boys” with Many Miketta (bass), Roland Miosga (piano) and Jens Otto (drums).

ViB guest (Very important Bottroper) is the singer/songwriter Thomas Gehring, who is supported by the best of all late-night bands.

Mother’s Day, May 14th, 6 p.m., Chamber Concert Hall, Böckenhoffstraße 30. Tickets (20/reduced 15 euros) at Beverages Possemeyer (Ostring 45), Café Kram (Adolf-Kolping-Str. 1) and in the wine bar Il Vinaio ( Gladbecker Strasse 22). Box office: 22/18 euros. Info: comedyimsaal.de.
