Donny van de Beek won’t be able to collect any more game minutes for a long time. Manchester United confirm the absence of the Dutch midfielder for the second half of the season. “He will miss the rest of the season”, according to coach Erik ten Hag. In the Premier League game against AFC Bournemouth (3-0), van de Beek had to leave the field early after a tackle by Marcos Senesi.

The first half of the season was disappointing for the 25-year-old. After reuniting with ten Hag – both had already worked together successfully at Ajax Amsterdam – van de Beek was hoping for a new start in the Red Devils dress. So far, however, there are only ten short appearances for the right foot. Van de Beek will not get any further chances for the time being due to his injury.
