Confrontation between men leaves one wounded with a knife in Hato Rey

The Police reported on Monday a confrontation between two men that left one of them wounded with a knife, in events that occurred in the morning in the Las Monjas neighborhood.

According to the police report, the complainant, a 37-year-old resident of the area, indicated that he used a knife to defend himself against Jonathan Abner Pabón, 36, who allegedly tried to enter his home by threatening him with a firearm.

The Police specified that Abner Pabón suffered injuries with the knife and was taken to the Río Piedras Medical Center. His condition is unknown and he is in police custody for alleged violations of the Weapons Law.

A Glock model 23 pistol, two chargers with 22 ammunition and a knife with a metal blade were seized, according to the Uniformed Police. In addition, photographs of the scene and of the complainant were taken by agent Héctor Díaz Rivera.

This case will be evaluated by agent William Castro of the San Juan Assault Division.
