*A 30-year-old man was found lifeless with several sharp injuries in different parts of his body, in front of a house in the Bicentenario neighborhood, in Puerto Iguazú, and about 500 meters away, the Police found another individual, also with stab wounds, for what is investigated if the latter could have been linked to the death of the former.

Police sources consulted by this morning newspaper indicated that the fatality was identified as Jonathan Fernández (30) and according to the spokesmen his body was located yesterday morning on the side of Los Trabajadores street, in the aforementioned neighborhood.

Apparently, a group of people passing through said artery ran into the deceased and immediately alerted the officers of the Fourth Section, dependent on Regional Unit V.
Already with the presence of the intervening police doctor, the sharp injuries that Fernández presented were verified and he ordered that the body be transferred to the Judicial Morgue for the corresponding autopsy.

But in the midst of these investigative work, a couple of blocks from that place, the uniformed officers were alerted to the discovery of another unknown person with injuries, also lying on the ground. The latter was located a few meters from Juan Pablo Segundo avenue and was identified as Diego B., 38 years old.

When he was examined, the doctors who attended him detected that he had a cut in his ear, another stabbing injury near one of his lungs, as well as cuts in his chest and another similar one in the armpit, for which he had to be referred from emergency to the local Samic Hospital.

Until the closing of this edition, a new medical report of the survivor was awaited, although he was in a delicate state of health, the sources consulted by this morning reported.

Meanwhile, police investigators made various inquiries with residents of the area, looking for an eyewitness to what happened.

Yesterday, the main hypothesis pointed to an alleged discussion between the two men, although the reasons and whether there was third-party intervention are unknown.

In addition, the investigations were looking for the knives used in the attack.

On the other hand, this medium was able to learn that the confrontation occurred in the vicinity of a home where a kiosk for the sale of narcotics is believed to operate, so this issue could also be related to the fatal outcome, although it will be corroborated with the progress have the file in the next few days.

Background
The last bloody event until Saturday, paradoxically the first of the year, occurred a week ago in the Nuevo neighborhood of Puerto Esperanza. There, Timoteo “Locura” Vázquez (47) was beaten to death by relatives of his partner on the morning of Sunday, January 1.

A week earlier, in Esperanza, a crime with some similarities.

According to the reconstruction carried out by the investigators, both Vázquez and his partner would have gone that morning to the house of a woman’s brother with the intention of recriminating the owner of the house for the supposed lack of money.

In this context, a strong altercation would have been generated among those present where the woman was the first to receive the attacks of those who were in the house at that moment, including her own brother.

And when Vázquez tried to stop the blows and defend his concubine, he received a series of punches and sticks.

The attackers escaped from the place but in less than 24 hours they were caught by the Police. The first two were located the same day of the event after an operation carried out on National Route 12 and were identified as Yanina Elizabeth B. (32) and Sergio Omar “Checo” P. (27).

Meanwhile, a day later, the other two involved were arrested in the Piedras Preciosas neighborhood: Davis S. (34) and Hugo S. (31).

The four were transferred to an investigative hearing last Thursday before Judge Martín Brites, head of the Investigating Court Three of Puerto Iguazú, involved in the investigation, as in the case of the attack on Fernández.
