A worker from a forging company bled to death after suffering a wound that affected his femoral artery, after a bar crushed his leg, in García, Nuevo León

According to the authorities, a colleague of his who moved the bar with a forklift left the scene after realizing what had happened.

The work accident occurred around 7:55 a.m. in the open forge area, at the Frisa company, at kilometer 7.5 of the García Highway, in the area known as Estación Durazno.

According to reports, Héctor Vicente García, 35, was polishing a bar, the weight of which was not specified.

A source mentioned that in order to continue his work, the employee asked a forklift driver to help him move said bar.

However, he added, the testimonies indicate that in the maneuver the bar rolled and crushed his right leg.

It caused an open fracture of the femur and at the same time left a small wound.

The company’s medical personnel attended to him immediately, because he was bleeding profusely.

Since they couldn’t see where the bleeding was coming from, they opened more where the wound was, observing that it came from the femoral.

Although they made efforts to save his life, the worker bled to death.
