A very special sentence is intended to ensure that Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and Prince George do not misbehave at the coronation of King Charles.

London – Prince George (9), Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4) are the children of the heir to the throne Prince William (40) and his wife Kate Middleton (41) always under special observation. If one of the royal offspring misbehaves in public, it makes headlines worldwide. At a solemn ceremony, such as the coronation of King Charles III. (74) will be, impeccable behavior is required.

‘If you don’t stop, there will be consequences’: the hidden message behind Princess Kate’s secret code

When Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022) celebrated her platinum anniversary in June 2022, Prince Louis in particular drew everyone’s attention. The little one made faces, couldn’t sit still and even covered his mother Catherine’s mouth. Author Tom Quinn reveals in his book Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up In The Royal Family,” how mom of three Kate handled the situation. “When Prince Louis misbehaved at the late Queen’s platinum jubilee, such as sticking his tongue out at his mother and then covering her mouth, Kate’s response was applauded by teams of experts,” the statement said Newsweek from Gilded Youth.

But how does Princess Kate manage to defuse such a situation? Kate is told to use a very specific phrase where “the kids know those few words carry far more weight than we can imagine”says a former employee of Gilded Youth. “She obviously used a secret code to calm the kids down — she just says, ‘Let’s take a break,'” says Tom Quinn. This sentence, which is simple in itself, has a hidden message for George, Charlotte and Louis.

The kids were taught that when Mom says, ‘Let’s take a break,’ what she really means is, ‘This is very serious and if you don’t stop fooling around and embarrassing me, there will be consequences when we come back to the palace. That’s why it works. When Kate says there will be consequences, there really are.

George, Charlotte and Louis: King Charles’ coronation calls for good manners

When King Charles and Queen Camilla (75) are crowned in a solemn service on May 6th, nothing should disturb the ceremony. Prince Louis, who turns five at the end of April, Princess Charlotte, who celebrates her 8th birthday four days before the coronation, and Prince George are expected to have impeccable manners on the day. It’s good that Princess Kate can access her secret code in an emergency, although the royal family will hope the children understand the seriousness of the situation.
