ITV viewers swooned in front of TV screens on New Year’s Eve thanks to Peter Barlow who showed off his handsome new look with new glasses to rival Deirdre Barlow’s.

After a few years of trouble for Peter on the cobblestones following his relapse of alcoholism, he needed a liver transplant to restore him to full health.
He didn’t look his best during that time, but now fans couldn’t help but comment on Peter now that he was in good health.
As Peter took his wife Carla to the Speed Daal for a New Years meal, he showed off his new glasses which enhanced his usual look and style.
He looked dapper in a tight white t-shirt for his date with his wife, who was upset after initially having no plans for the New Year.
One fan said of Chris Gascoyne’s character, “Peter replaced Deirdre as the ‘sexy feature’ on the street.”
Another distraught viewer gushed: “Peter looks great tonight!”

Another viewer was just happy to see the pair back on screen after feeling like Peter and Carla’s content had been lacking in 2022.
