The Vice President of the Nation, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, held a meeting with the President of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora, in his office in the Chamber of Senators, located on the first floor of the Legislative Palace.

Arce was one of the leaders who participated in the VII Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which took place in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

The Bolivian president entered the offices minutes before 6 pm, accompanied by the Administrative Secretary of the Senate, María Luz Alonso.

Fernández de Kirchner held a meeting on Monday with former Bolivian President Evo Morales, with whom he discussed the reality of Latin America and the region.

The meeting with Morales took place minutes after the meeting that the Vice President had with the President of Honduras, Xiomara Castro.

Official sources had stated that the meeting with Morales served to “discuss the reality of Latin America and the region, as well as the world situation.”

On the other hand, the former president also met with Gustavo Petro, who participated in the VII Summit of Heads of State and Government of CELAC.

Petro entered the office on the first floor of the National Congress accompanied by a large delegation, together with the Administrative Secretary of the Senate, María Luz Alonso, and the president of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Eduardo Valdés.

Petro, leader of the Latin American left, was elected president of Colombia on June 19, after a second round in which he obtained more than 50% of the votes, defeating the rightist Rodolfo Hernández by four points (50.88 to 46.85 ).

The presence of the Colombian president was expected on Monday, but due to scheduling problems, he arrived in Argentina today, finished his participation in the CELAC meeting and went to Congress to visit the vice president.
