On the night of this January 15, the 28th edition of the Critics Choice Awards was held at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California, and once again “Pinocchio” by Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro takes home an award for succeeding in the Best Animated Film category.

The gala is among the most important in the industry, as the Broadcast Film Critics Association recognizes the best of film and television among actors, actresses, filmmakers, and productions. Among the favorites is the tape with which Guillermo del Toro shone on Netflix and was placed as one of the most viewed on the streaming platform.

“Pinocchio” takes the coveted statuette in the Best Animated Film category in which it competed with other productions such as “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On”, “Turning Red” and “Pues in Boots: The Last Wish”. In addition, she was nominated for Best Song with “Ciao papa” and Best Soundtrack with Alexandre Desplat.
