Cuban deported with I220A had robbed victims of Hurricane Ian in Fort Myers

The Cuban who claimed to have been deported for “a simple nonsense” after being released with the I220-A form had actually robbed a business for victims of Hurricane Ian in Florida

“Today I have been deported from the US, after spending two years, quietly, living there, they had given me the I220-A. I have entered twice. And now, because of a simple nonsense, they have brought me here, they have deported me.” declared a few days ago Ernesto Pedroso Martínez, 34, to the Univisión journalist javier diaz.

“I don’t know why the United States has turned its back on me, after having sacrificed myself, having come across the border,” he added.

After the uproar and concern caused by these statements, Díaz confirmed that the cause of Pedroso Martínez’s deportation had been robbery.

Ernesto Pedroso Martinez, 34, and Noel Morales, 54, were facing charges of grand theft, aggravated by having occurred during a state of emergency, Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno said at the time.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Ernesto Pedroso Martinez, 34, and Noel Morales, 54, both of Homestead, “were observed stealing items in front of a local business and loading them onto a trailer.”

Deputies located the trailer and found both men inside, the sheriff’s office said Sunday.

The two face charges of grand theft, for the alleged crimes that occurred under a state of emergency.

They deport a Cuban with I-220A! How do we explain this?
