In his memoirs, Prince Harry does not omit a particularly sad chapter. Before daughter Lilibet, Duchess Meghan suffered a miscarriage.

Montecito – The long-awaited memoirs of many Royal fans are piling up in bookstores Prince Harry (38). In “Reserve” (“Spare”), Harry addresses his dealings with the tragic accidental death of his mother Diana (36, † 1997), the relationship with his brother William (40) and his father, King Charles III. On May 6, 2019, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan became parents for the first time. Little Archie was born in London, but in 2020 Harry and Meghan left the UK with their young son, eventually finding a new home in Montecito, California. Before her daughter Lilibet was born there on June 4, 2021, Meghan suffered a miscarriage a year earlier.

In his memoirs, which will be available to buy from January 10, Prince Harry reports on the days after Meghan’s miscarriage. “We left the hospital with our unborn child. A tiny package,” Harry said loudly Us Weekly in a passage from “Reserve”. “We went to a place, a secret place that only we knew. Under a sprawling banyan tree, while Meg cried, I dug a hole with my hands and gently placed the tiny packet in the ground.”

Not only Prince Harry addresses the miscarriage in his autobiography, Duchess Meghan has already written the grief over her miscarriage from her soul. In the essay “The Losses We Share”, published in November 2020 in the New York Times appeared, Meghan described the moment she realized she had lost her unborn child.

Prince Harry’s memoirs go on sale

On January 10, 2023, Prince Harry’s memoir entitled “Spare” will be published by Penguin Random House. Even the title made headlines in advance. It’s a reference to the phrase “the heir and the spare.” As the younger brother of Prince William, heir to the throne, Harry has been on the bench all his life. Now there are fears that Prince Harry will settle accounts with the British royal family.

“I think my wife miscarried because of what the Mail did,” Harry said in the documentary. Stress and lack of sleep would have affected Meghan too much.
