We currently have 360 varieties of dates in Algeria. A heritage that the authorities want to grow by optimizing the export market.
” Currentlywe only export 3% of the actual production, which exceeds 1.2 million tons of dates per year. Our potential is much greater” says Ali Djoudiexpert and consultant specializing in phoeniciculture. Lhe objective is to double the number of importers (currently 75 client countries) and to reach 250 million dollars in turnover by 2024.
