Dead Space will soon have the right to its remake and if we are to believe recent statements by one of the masters of horror, a film is also in preparation.
While the highly anticipated Dead Space Remake is coming to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on January 27, the franchise is set to hit the big screen shortly as John Carpenter claims, but fans are likely to be very disappointed.
Asked in the columns of Variety, the famous director ofHalloween, The Thing or Christinareverted to the license dead space. The filmmaker, a great lover of video games, had already declared his love for the EA franchise on numerous occasions, saying that he loved seeing it adapted to the cinema and that he would like to take care of it even more. Wishes that will visibly be granted, at least in part.

Asked about the rumors that suggested he might be adapting the license to the cinema, Carpenter brushes aside all the hopes of the fans, but also makes a major revelation. The film does exist.
No no no. I can’t believe this rumor got around. I’m a huge video game fan, so I’ve played all of Dead Space. I was looking at the new digital cameras, a RED, and I mentioned on that occasion that I would like to do a Dead Space movie one time. Since then, it’s been around, and everyone was like, “Oh, when are you going to do it?” “. No, I won’t. I think they already have another director involved. And they didn’t ask me to do it. So unless asked, I wouldn’t. However, there is a remake of the game Dead Space coming out in January, and there I would be.

No the illustrious John Carpenter will not make a film dead space, on the other hand, this one would indeed be in production, overseen by another director. It’s always taken. For now, however, we have absolutely no information about the current project which was, until now, totally unknown. Note that it is also likely that Mr. Carpenter’s tongue forked, it would not be the first time. We just have to wait for a little more official information to get to the bottom of it.
