The head teacher of the young woman found dead on the night of Wednesday to Thursday in the Gard paid tribute to her on BFMTV. He remembers a teenager with a communicative “joie de vivre”.

A school in mourning. The head teacher of Sihem Belouahmia who was educated at the Jean-Baptiste-Dumas high school in Alès, in the Gard, told BFMTV on Friday of the grief that students and teachers of his establishment are going through and paid tribute to the young woman, after the announcement of the discovery of his body on Thursday.

“I think it will take a long time for the grief to fade, but she will never be forgotten”, assured Rémy Clémencier on our antenna.

The establishment learned on Thursday the news of the death of the 18-year-old young woman, who has been missing since January 25, after the confession of the main suspect who occurred in police custody on Wednesday evening.

A “total upheaval”

The teacher assures that the news was a “total upheaval” for both students and teachers. “We accompanied them as best we could. The school management has set up a psychological cell,” he says.

“We obviously remain at their disposal,” he said.

A teenager with a daily “joie de vivre”

The teacher also paid tribute to Sihem Belouahmia, whom he describes as a young woman who was “very smiling” and “a good student”.

He insists that it was “someone radiant”, whose “joie de vivre was seen every day”.

“Very open”, she was in the final year and was preparing a professional baccalaureate specializing in support and personal care services and was destined to be a nurse or caregiver.

The main suspect admitted to the investigators having killed the young woman. He evokes a “love dispute”. Sihem Belouahmia’s family lawyer denies having knowledge of any relationship between the 39-year-old man and the high school student.
