In the run-up to CES, Samsung has already placed a monitor that could counter the Apple Studio Display. A monitor from Dell has even more pixels. The UltraSharp U3224KB is a 6K monitor with IPS black panel technology. Dell reports that IPS Black offers 41% deeper blacks and up to 1.4x higher contrast ratio. This is an improved version of the IPS LCD panel, Dell relies on LG as a supplier.

The 31.5-inch (80.01 cm) model displays 6,144 × 3,456 pixels. Dell installs a 4K HDR webcam, Thunderbolt 4 with up to 140 watts, a Mini DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 in this monitor as well as USB-A and USB-C along with an Ethernet connection. According to the company, the Ultrasharp U3224KB covers 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, and a DisplayHDR 600 certification rounds off the 6K monitor, which has not yet received a price tag.
