Dell updated by surprise in Brazil this Thursday (27) the Dell XPS 13 Plus, the giant’s most advanced compact ultrabook. The device is now sold with a new 13th generation Intel Raptor Lake CPU, even receiving improved Intel Evo certification, but retains many of the features that made last year’s model stand out and once again place Dell as the most desirable laptop brand. in the Canaltech Award, including the “invisible” haptic trackpad and the spacious end-to-end keyboard.

The novelty comes equipped with an Intel Core i7 1360P processor, with 12 cores and 16 threads (4 high-performance P-Cores + 8 high-efficiency E-Cores) — the chip is very similar to the older model, the Core i7 1260P , but brings higher CPU and GPU speeds: up to 5.0 GHz in the first (against 4.7 GHz in the previous generation), and up to 1,500 MHz in the second (against 1,400 MHz in the graphics of the 1260P).

Available in the same graphite color, the new XPS 13 Plus arrives in a single configuration, featuring 16 GB of welded LPDDR5 RAM running at 6,000 MT/s and 1 TB of M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, bearing in mind that only the storage allows upgrades. On the other hand, there is a new version of the Intel Evo certification here, responsible for ensuring the inclusion of features that promise to provide “a complete premium experience”.

In addition to the instant return from suspension, among other features, advanced connectivity with Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6E, integrated Full HD webcam, support for communication with smartphones via Intel Unison and long-lasting battery with quick recharge are ensured — according to Dell, the 55 Wh battery reaches 80% recharge after less than 1 hour in the socket with the included USB-C adapter, with 60 W of power.

Other strengths of the laptop are already present from the previous model: the 13.4-inch screen incorporates an IPS LCD panel in a 16:10 ratio, with Full HD+ resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and brightness of up to 500 nits, and the keyboard brings wide keys, less spaced between themselves and that extend from one side of the body to the other. The robust 4-speaker sound system is under the keys and directed towards the user, and the glass haptic trackpad uses motors to simulate clicking and is integrated into the wrist rest area.

The datasheet is completed by the two Thunderbolt 4 ports (transfer speed of 40 Gbps, with USB-A adapter and P2 headphone jack in the box), the construction in a single aluminum body, the capacitive quick shortcuts of functions and Windows 11 Home or Pro — the release does not yet have a Developer Edition version, which leaves the factory with Ubuntu, but the option should be brought here in the future.

price and availability
