The French studio Quantic Dream can be proud of its latest creation Detroit Become Human, which has just taken a new step.

Since the release of Detroit Become Humanthe French studio Quantic Dream is a bit stingy with new games. It must be said that the Parisian team is currently in full development of a certain star wars eclipse of which we ultimately know very little, except that it should be a work with a lot of narrative elements and taking place during the High Republic period. And storytelling is something that Quantic Dream masters very well. Proof of this is the crazy success of Detroit.

Detroit Become Human, the quintessence of narrative gaming?

Dating back to 2018, with a very particular narrative style, who would have thought that Detroit Become Human is sold by pallets? Like Elden Ring, and despite the somewhat “niche” aspect, Quantic’s video game sold like hotcakes, namely 8 million copies all the same. To get an idea of the order of magnitude, it’s a bit as if the entire Swiss population had the game in their possession. A very nice success which proves once again that it is possible to earn a lot of money with a game that is off the beaten track. What unfortunately Ubisoft had trouble understanding by trying at all costs to release a Battle Royale with no less than 12 unsuccessful attempts.

In our columns, friend Julo really enjoyed the game at the time, as you can see in our TEST. He had even received our essential little macaron, a sign of his great video game quality. In particular thanks to his technique and his rather bluffing cinematographic staging.

For you, is the success of Detroit Become Human deserved? Did you enjoy the game on your side and do you understand the craze for it?
