The brat of the video game industry, Devolver Digital, intends to be noticed once again. The publisher gives us an appointment in a few weeks.
Despite the death of E3 2023, builders, publishers, and developers will continue to speak out throughout June. Some of the conferences will also be part of the Summer Game Fest 2023. Even if Devolver Digital threw in the towel, before the official announcement of the cancellation of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the publisher of independent nuggets will not remain silent. Devolver Digital event announced

The Devolver Digital Direct 2022 was in any case scathing. And that’s what we expect at each edition. Last year, the practice of setting a fake countdown, only to add a new one after the first had finished, was mocked. A process used by several industry players which, by force, can annoy viewers. Suda51 (No More Heroes) had been hired to reinterpret The never-ending story.
Apart from the sketches that openly mock the video game industry, Devolver Digital does not forget the games. In 2022, we had the announcement of the very promising The Plucky Squire. An adventure / platform title that has fun playing with perspectives for a seductive result. A production by the co-director of The Swords of Ditto. Other potential announcements
It’s not confirmed, but we could also see Gunbrella again. The new game from the creators of Gato Roboto. A side-scolling app where you play as a lumberjack.
A gruff lumberjack, a good old thirst for revenge, a mysterious umbrella gun: Gunbrella is a muscular investigation in the midst of ghouls, gangsters, cops and gurus against a backdrop of industrial negligence.
Take advantage of your Gunbrella to slide, hover, swing, dash or even dive and gather debris and other stuff lying around to stock up on ammo and acquire various upgrades. A sect involved in kidnappings, seedy gangs, specters who materialize where blood flows… the journey promises to be as dense as it is perilous!

Why not also a release date for KarmaZoo? A Devolver Digital nugget that has already charmed us during the preview. A cooperative game made of platforms, thinking and puzzles. « Stick together to win! KarmaZoo is a fun and crazy co-op platform game. Up to 10 players team up by combining the abilities of 50 different characters to perform a Loop and collect Karma! » (via Steam). The 50 characters are not human, but they are animals. KarmaZoo will be available in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC starting this summer.
