DENVER (AP) — Elias Diaz homered and drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the eighth inning as the Colorado Rockies beat the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2 Tuesday night.

Another Venezuelan, shortstop Ezequiel Tovar, hit his first home run in the majors for Colorado, which has won its last two home games after losing seven in a row.

CJ Cron led off the eighth with a double off Peter Strzelecki (2-1) and Diaz singled home Yonathan Daza, who entered as a pinch runner.

Justin Lawrence (1-1) pitched the scoreless eighth and Pierce Johnson pitched the ninth for his fourth save.

Rowdy Tellez, Brice Turang and Jesse Winker added two hits each for Milwaukee.

For the Brewers, the Dominican Willy Adames 4-0 with a run scored. The Mexican Téllez 4-2 with a push. Venezuelan William Contreras 4-1 with an RBI.

For the Rockies, the Venezuelans Daza without an official turn but with a run scored, Díaz 4-2 with a run run and two RBIs, Harold Castro 4-1, Tovar 3-1 with a run run and an RBI.
