During the last months, Venezuela has reduced the shipment of crude oil to the islandwhich for years has bought the regime from Chavismo at subsidized prices in exchange for renting health personnel, teachers and other human resources.

This situation has exacerbated the fuel crisis that Cuba is going through, and generated energy insecurity throughout the country, dependent on international crude oil.

However, the total number of barrels exported from Caracas to other countries exceeded 700,000 per day, the second consecutive month in which that figure has been reached, after an extensive audit by the state oil company PDVSA that delayed exports at the beginning of this year.
