Neither by good nor by bad are we going to let them win

CARACAS- Diosdado Cabello, a key figure in the Venezuelan regime, urged his followers to convince opposition voters to join the ruling party, in a strategy to strengthen his electoral position.

“Who among them guarantees peace? None, the only one who guarantees peace for Venezuela is called Nicolás Maduro, even they are clear about that. That is why, in the 1x10x7 we must not stay only with Chavismo, we will go further. We have the moral authority to knock on the door of whoever,” Cabello told a notably small audience in the Andean capital.

“Search for votes”

The Chavista leader also attacked the opposition, accusing it of preparing the ground to denounce alleged electoral fraud. “The opposition knows that on July 28 Nicolás Maduro will win and that is why they are denouncing fraud from now on and taking polls, following the script they set up in Mexico,” Cabello said. This statement aligns with the official discourse that accuses opposition leaders of trying to delegitimize the electoral process before it takes place.

Cabello’s strategy of seeking votes among opponents reflects the regime’s concern to ensure a distant victory for the next electoral elections.

The mobilization and capture of votes has become a priority for Chavismo, which seeks to consolidate its power in the midst of an increasingly complex and polarized political landscape.
