Juarez City.- The existence of several businesses in the city that offer people the possibility of having their high school certificate with a single exam made the educational authorities alert the population so that they are not fooled.
Javier Jáquez Hernández, undersecretary of Higher Secondary Education in the state, explained that although there is secretarial agreement 286 of the National Evaluation Center (Ceneval) that allows people with empirical knowledge or who once studied high school and did not have their certificate can take an exam to accredit it, this is requested free of charge from the federal government and without intermediaries.
He indicated that there are people who can offer their services as support to study for said exam, but that does not guarantee that they will accredit it, nor does it oblige the authorities to grant it.
He clarified that these businesses are not schools, much less have official validity by the Ministry of Education, so if when offering their services they assure clients that they will give them the certificate, it is a hoax.
He also said that the 286 exam is regulated by the General Directorate of Baccalaureate, of the federal Government, with rules such as that applicants must be of legal age.
“These individuals can offer advice, but they cannot guarantee that they will pass the exam, they cannot claim official recognition of validity from the certification department because they do not have it, but it is valid in some way if they they sell the ‘possibility’ of advising those who want to take the single exam, perhaps they have a study guide, but be careful, they cannot grant the document”, he reiterated.
The testimony of a mother who preferred to omit her name came to the newsroom of El Diario, who assured that she contracted this service for her son who has a slight disability, and that she paid the amount of 3,500 pesos because they assured her who would get the certificate; However, when he took exam 286, he did not pass it due to his condition, but despite the fact that the business knew that he was not a candidate to pass it, they sold him his services without warning him and did not return his money. .
