Andreas Leknessund will be entitled to a second day in pink, Thursday May 11, on the occasion of the sixth stage of the Giro. After a day in the rain, conducted at a leisurely pace before the final packing, the peloton sets off for 162 kilometers around Naples, the start and finish city of the stage. The big question of the day will lie in the recovery capacity of the favorites of this Tour of Italy, Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic, both fallen in Salerno.
With two slight difficulties on the menu for the day, a second category climb then another third category, there will again be a few points to pick up in view of the best climber’s jersey. Still leader in the specialty classification, Thibaut Pinot could again take the morning breakaway to increase his lead. To conclude, the sprinters will be expected once again.
