Preparations for the shooting of the new DC movie Superman: Legacy are currently in full swing. After the departure of Henry Cavill, the new actor for Superman has not yet been found, but the rest of the cast is still looking more and more interesting details on. Just recently director James Gunn reveal that at least one cast member from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will appear in the new Superman movie. Well is him another secret slipped from his lips, he has the appearance of a very specific character blurted out.

This character is in Superman: Legacy

During a video interview where James Gunn with actor Chris Pratt was actually asked about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the conversation turned to Superman: Legacy. Initially for fun, the director suddenly brought the superhero dog Krypto in game: He offered Pratt to play the role of the animal companion, all he had to do was do some motion capture. A little later it dawned on Pratt that James Gunn was probably with this information revealed a secret.

“It sounds like there’s a character named Krypto in Superman. Breaking news!”

Director Gunn quickly realized that he was fine something slipped out, which he shouldn’t have said. But instead of vehemently denying it, he took the whole thing with humor and thus logically fueled the speculation around an appearance by Krypto in Superman: Legacy.

Who is Crypto?

Krypto is a white-coated dog who has superpowers and in several comics since 1955 as a pet of Superman shows up.

Like his master, he comes from from the planet Krypton and can, among other things Heat rays from his eyes firing. There was even an animated series tailored for this character called in 2005-2006 Krypto the Superdog. He also had a prominent appearance in the animated film DC League of Super Pets.
