It was a little over a week ago now that the Genshin Impact update 3.4 announcement live ended. This stream promised many things, and more particularly the great return of the Lantern Festival which, you understood, alludes to the Chinese New Year. Fans can therefore expect to participate in a multitude of mini-games in the coming days, but, of course, that’s not all.
This brand new update, which will last until March 1, is divided into two phases. These will allow you to discover a total of two new characters, namely Yaoyao (who can be unlocked for free) and Alhaitham. The first phase will end on February 8 and will be an opportunity for players to leave with the banner of Alhaitham, but also to win that of Xiao. The second phase, meanwhile, will run until March 1, 2023, and will reserve the Hu Tao and Yela banners for the player.
But in the end, that’s not the most important thing… Indeed, the update will be above all an opportunity to face a brand new boss, Setekh Wenut, get your hands on a new sword, and above all to walk in a brand new area: the Hadramaveth Desert. Available from the introduction of patch 3.4, this new environment will consist of new quests and amazing weather. For example, it will be possible to deal with sandstorms.

Good news, this brand new update will arrive tomorrow, on all media. Indeed, all Genshin Impact servers will be undergoing maintenance overnight. The goal for the developers of miHoyo is to make the 3.4 experience playable as soon as possible.
Although no release time has been announced by studio members, we imagine that this maintenance will last a handful of hours and that everything will be available this January 18 around 6 am. In other words, all we have to do now is wait patiently.
