If you already can’t stand receiving long voice messages in messengers, you have to be strong now. The feature will also be introduced in Discord. You’ll soon be able to send voice messages on any platform with Discord. This is currently only possible via smartphone.

Discord now also receives voice messages

Some hate them, others love them – voice messages. They’re pretty handy for me when I’m on the go because I get lame as a tortoise while running trying to write on the side. And it’s not so sure if you don’t look at the way anymore.

The voice messages in Discord can be up to 20 minutes long. Just like in almost every other service, you hold down the microphone button in the chat to record your beautiful voice for the other person. You can even swipe to lock the recording mode or click the trash can to delete the message. You know that.

But there’s also good news for everyone who groans loudly when your friends send you another agonizingly long voice message that ties you to your cell phone for minutes. Discord allows you to turn off voice messages in the menu.

“Voice Messages lets you send an audio recording directly to your friends”, explained Discord on a feature FAQ. “Currently, you can only send voice messages via a direct message, a group direct message, or on a server with fewer than 200 members. These can be listened to on any device that can access Discord, but they can only be sent from the mobile app. ”

What do you think of voice messages? Are you friend or foe?
