Anyone who is interested in the medium of radio – whether classic or streamed – and is also a fan of Toten Hosen will get something on their ears tomorrow. Bremen Vier, hr3, MDR Jump, SWR3, SR1 and WDR 2 will broadcast the Toten Hosen benefit concert live on Friday, February 24th in aid of the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. The concert under the motto “Three chords for your donation!” can be heard from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on the six ARD radio stations.

After the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, Die Toten Hosen spontaneously decided to organize a benefit concert. “We are deeply touched by the suffering of the local population and think in particular of those of our fellow citizens who fear and mourn for their friends and relatives in the affected areas,” said Toten Hosen.

The concert in the Düsseldorf DOME was sold out within 60 seconds – 10,500 tickets at 75 euros each. According to the band, all proceeds after deducting production costs go to the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders and Medico International to support their work in the affected disaster areas. The bands (Hosen, Donots and Thees Uhlmann) waived their fee. In addition, the venue was made available by the city of Düsseldorf free of charge and advance sales were handled free of charge by the ticket provider Eventim.
