On May 4th, an information evening on the ESK volunteer service will take place for the first time in Kleinwalsertal.

Lea Baur (21) from Weiler is actually not the type who really wants to leave. Nevertheless, she decided to do an ESK voluntary service and has been helping with German lessons in a French school in Saint Quentin since November. “I didn’t know what to do after graduating from high school and after a three-month internship in Cannes I really wanted to go back to France,” says Lea Baur. After an information session with Yvonne Waldner from aha, she spontaneously decided to do a seven and a half month ESK voluntary service in northern France. Despite initial doubts, she already knows that it was the right decision: “You really learn a lot about yourself through a stay like this. I know it’s a blatant cliché, but it’s just really true.”

Lea Baur will report on her experiences at an ESK information evening on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the youth room hotspot in Hirschegg (Kleinwalsertal). In addition, Yvonne Waldner from aha informs all interested parties about the possibilities and process of a voluntary service with the European Solidarity Corps (ESK). This offers young people between the ages of 18 and 30 the opportunity to work for up to twelve months in a non-profit organization in Europe. The costs are covered by the EU funding program European Solidarity Corps and the host organization. The aha supports and accompanies the project preparation and during the assignment.

Out of For organizational reasons, we ask that you register for the non-binding ESK information evening at www.aha.or.at/event/esk-kleinwalsertal.
