There aren’t many really good Mario Kart 8 Deluxe alternatives to other formats, but hopefully Disney Speedstorm has the potential to be one. And it might even bring a large audience to the Switch because it offers two things that Mario racing games don’t; Disney characters and free-to-play.
Unfortunately, the latter is only partially true. While Disney Speedstorm will be free-to-play when it releases later this year, the Early Access version launched yesterday is only available if you get Founder’s Packs.
