After showing the new Fortnite graphics on Unreal Engine 5.1, the now famous youtuber ElAnalistaDeBits dedicates his latest video comparison to the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck versions of The Witcher 3.

The content update that accompanied the launch of the TW3 Next Gen Update, in fact, also affected the last-gen PS4 and Xbox One editions of the role-playing masterpiece by CD Projekt RED (except for the Switch version), as a result the content creator thought it appropriate to make a new graphic and performance analysis.

Judging by what is shown by the video that stands out at the beginning of the article, the undisputed winner of this ‘remote technological challenge’ between hybrid consoles can only be Steam Deck. Valve’s portable platform manages to return amuch richer visual experiencethanks to the greater computational power of Steam Deck compared to the consoles of the Switch family.

The performance gap between the two systems tested by the youtuber is reflected in the graphics of The Witcher 3: followers of Geralt of Rivia who own the hybrid PC from Valve can immerse themselves in more detailed and sharper sceneries, with more defined textures, a more advanced lighting system and a greater draw distance. The gap between the two platforms widens further when looking at the time required to load the open world map and aspects such as the density of the vegetation, the stability of the framerate, the quality of the shadows and the resolution.
