The Government has already made official the new salary scales for domestic staff. The increase in the next three months that workers in the sector will receive will be 27%, based on the amounts of March of this yearwhen the fourth and last increase agreed in November between the Ministry of Labor and the National Commission for the Work of Private Houses took place.
According to Resolution 2/2023, the first of the increases will be 14% as of the current month.
In May, meanwhile, the increase will be 7% non-cumulative, in the same way that in June they will receive a rise of 6 percent.
New salary scales for domestic staff
In this way, next month the personnel assigned to general tasks with retirement will receive $697.5 per hour or $85,586 per month, while those without retirement will receive $752 per hour or $95,170.5 per month.
In the next two sections, the values will be $740 and $777 per hour, and $90,841 and $95,345.5 per month for retired workersand $798 and $838 per hour, and $101,014 and $106,023 per month for those without retirement.
New salary scales for domestic staff
At the top end of the industry salary pyramid, the progression of a retired Supervisor will be $841.5, $893 and $937 per hour, and $104,993, $111,440 and $116,966 per month. Meanwhile, that of those without withdrawal will be $921.5, $978 and $1026.5 per hour, and $116,950, $124,131.5 and $130,287 per month.
The annex to the Resolution clarifies, simultaneously, that “an additional unfavorable area equivalent to 30% of minimum wages will be applied established for each of the categories regarding the personnel that provides tasks in the Provinces of La Pampa, Río Negro, Chubut, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Antártida and Islas del Atlántico Sur, or in the Partido de Patagones of the Province from Buenos Aires”.
The new scale was established after “an extensive exchange of positions” during the meeting that the National Commission for Work in Private Homes held on March 28.
According to the document“the sectoral representations of workers, employers and employers and the Ministries that are members of the National Commission for the Work of Private Houses have agreed to a total salary increase of twenty-seven percent (27%) non-cumulative over the salary scale approved by Resolution No. 6/22 of the National Commission for the Work of Private Houses”.

It refers to the personnel who provide tasks related to general care and the preservation of a home where they live due to the employment contract. It is the only category that is presumed without withdrawal.
With 14% in April, the so-called “fifth category” will charge 696.90 pesos per hour with withdrawal and 751.33 without withdrawal
Assistance and care of people
Includes assistance and non-therapeutic care of people, such as: sick people, people with disabilities, children, adolescents, the elderly. This category is the one that determines the salary of a nanny or home caregivers (for example, a person who cares for the elderly).
Staff for general tasks
She is in charge of cleaning, washing, ironing, maintenance, preparation and cooking of meals and, in general, any other typical household task. It is the most used category, since it includes the domestic employee or maid who provides cleaning and maintenance services in family homes.
