The comptroller of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) Agustín Rossi assured today that the body he commands “does not do illegal intelligence”, that on the contrary that “happened when the macrismo governed.” Likewise, he accused Juntos por el Cambio of thinking that way because “the thief believes that everyone is like him.”

“This AFI does not do illegal intelligence. The AFI does not engage in illegal espionage, that happened when the macrismo governed,” the official emphasized after speculation by the opposition that the leaked chats of the Buenos Aires Minister of Justice and Security, Marcelo D. ‘Alessandro, they could come from an operation by that agency.

The head of the AFI referred to these terms after the license requested by D’Alessandro was known this afternoon due to the scandal over the leaking of alleged chats that have him as the protagonist together with an official of the national Supreme Court, in the payment of an alleged bribe with the crane businessman Marcelo Violante, as well as for his participation in a trip to Bariloche together with federal judges and directors of Grupo Clarín.

“I understand that they, as they were victims of illegal intelligence from their own political space, think that the AFI acts like that, but we have nothing to do with that,” Rossi insisted.

From Together for Change, the Government was accused of doing intelligence and using the State apparatus to spy on the Buenos Aires Minister of Justice and Security. In this sense, the AFI controller called the opposition leaders “irresponsible” for asserting so lightly that it was an intelligence operation.

And he wondered: “Why are they now accusing the AFI and not when the first chats in Lago Escondido appeared? My answer is that they are doing it now because (in the last chats) the president of the Supreme Court of Justice (Horacio Rosatti) is involved”.

“They think that because the thief believes that they are all of his condition, but the AFI has nothing to do with it,” said Agustín Rossi, in an attitude similar to that of the Buenos Aires head of government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, who in a statement pointed out that the ruling party wanted to make the population believe that “everyone is the same”.
