However, there are some whose quality has been rewarded and whose price remains quite accessible. They are hard to find, yet they exist. Furthermore, a wine awarded by a specialist is a guarantee of quality. We present here 5 with a price under €10, but they are not the only ones.
Quality wines for everyone to take on the fly
Bindi Sergardi comes from Tuscany, Red IGT Achilles, vintage 2021. We find it around €10 per bottle. It has a score given by James Suckling of 90/100. It is made with 100% Sangiovese grapes and has 13.5% alcohol.
Let’s go to Sicily now with a Donnafugata white. It’s about the Sicily White DOC Anthilia from 13 degrees alcohol. It is mainly made with Catarratto grapes. The vintage is 2021 and has a Luca Maroni score of 92/100. The price is around €9.50.
Let’s move to Piedmont with a Montalbara Piedmont Red DOC out of print, vintage 2020, with 12.5% alcohol. Barbera d’Asti 60%, Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato 30% and Grignolino d’Asti 10% are vinified in the barrels. It is around €9 and has a score of 98/100 according to Luca Maroni.

It’s about Arzenton Pinot Grigio from the Eastern Hills of Friuli, a 2021 DOC wine, 100% made with Pinot Grigio grapes. It has 13.5% alcohol and sells for around €9.
Finally, a wine from Puglia, the Castel del Monte Rosso DOC Bolonero of 2019, Torrevento. He is a Nero di Troia with Aglianico inserts. He has 12.5% alcohol and an attractive price of around €7. This wine received 3 Glasses from Gambero Rosso and 93/100 from Luca Maroni.
These wines show us that quality does not cost the impossible.
