“Okay, guys, this shouldn’t surprise anyone, but the trans movement is on the attack again. This time they are attacking an African-American singing legend,” says Donald Trump Jr. in his latest video blog on the website Rumble.

He discusses this in a video of three minutes and 40 seconds.

“It doesn’t seem like people are actually looking for equality. They want more than that,” he claims, before referring to an article in New York Post.

The Rupert Murdoch-owned newspaper wrote an article that the Twitter account Trans Cultural Mindfullness Alliance (TCMA) in a post demanded that Spotify and Apple delete the Aretha Franklin song “Natural Woman” because it “promotes several harmful anti-trans stereotypes” .

Brand new account

The Twitter account was created in Oslo in Norway and has just over 2,000 followers. It posted its first post on January 20 of this year, and the post about Aretha Franklin was the second post.

“There is no such thing as a ‘natural’ woman,” read the post, which has received 1.2 million views on Twitter so far.

The newly started account has spread quickly. A search for “Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance” yields just under 6,000 hits on Google at the time of writing.

Several Twitter users immediately realized that this was a parody, while others allowed themselves to be provoked.

Another Rupert Murdoch-owned newspaper, Daily Mailhas also written about TCMA’s “demand” for Spotify and Apple to delete Aretha Franklin’s hit song.

“These aren’t just small communities, folks. There are groups out there demanding that Spotify and Apple remove this song. There is a group in Norway that does this. The New York Post reports that an organization called the Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance is demanding this,” says Trump junior in the video blog.

“They’re attacking an African-American woman over a nearly 60-year-old song to get it canceled. Think about it, guys!” he adds.

“It’s time to say enough is enough! I’m on Aretha Franklin’s team. I’m on the team for classical, American, legendary music. We can’t just wipe out history because some small circles in society want it,” concludes Trump junior.

More parody posts

TCMA followed up the “Natural Woman” post with another “claim” the next day. This time it was about the authorities in Norway no longer including gender in birth certificates.

“Gender should be determined by the child when he is four years old,” it was argued.

The TCMA also “demanded” that Zara and Hennes & Mauritz stop having separate departments for women’s and men’s clothing.

“Segregating clothing by gender is transphobic,” TCMA wrote.

If this isn’t enough to convince everyone that the account is a parody, TCMA also posted that “Having pineapple on pizza is transphobic and racist.”

“Media’s idiocy”

TV 2 has made several attempts to contact the owner of the account, but has not yet received a reply.

According to the website iheartradio.ca confirms the creator of the account via a direct message to their journalist John Kennedy that this is a parody account.

– Never thought anyone would take it seriously, says the account’s owner.

The person, who is also anonymous to iheartradio.ca, says that the account is intended as a comment on “woke” culture and “media idiocy”.

– Not one media house contacted me before they wrote about this nonsense, says the person concerned.

Both the New York Post and the Daily Mail have subsequently included a sentence that TCMA “now insists they are a satire group and only joking”.

Trump Jr. posted his video blog on Jan. 25, two days after the New York Post wrote a new one article that it was all a parody, after the newspaper itself had been in contact with the owner of the TCMA account.

“Queen of Soul”

“Natural Woman” was released by Aretha Franklin in 1967. The lyrics were written by Gerry Goffin and the music by Carole King.

It climbed to number eight on the Billboard charts then, but has since established itself as one of the most popular songs from this era.

Aretha Franklin, who died in 2018, was called the “Queen of Soul” and has twice been placed ninth in music magazine Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 greatest artists of all time.

In 1987, she became the first woman to be inducted into the rock Hall of Fame.
